St. Cloud Police and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office are investigating similar attempted burglaries that have happened in the last 48 hours.

Each incident occurred in the morning around 9 a.m. In both cases the home owners were present when a burglar entered through an unlocked back door and began searching through the home owners’ belongings. Both home owners confronted the burglar who then fled the home without taking anything.

Both home owners described the burglar as a 30 to 35-year-old white man with brown hair, scruffy face, around 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds. The suspect is possibly driving an older grey hatchback vehicle.
