More than 580,000 Minnesotans voted in Tuesday’s primary election. That’s the state’s highest primary turnout in a decade. In the democratic gubernatorial primary, Mark Dayton narrowly defeated Margaret Anderson Kelliher. He will face off against republican candidate Tom Emmer and Independence Party candidate Tom Horner on November 2nd.

In the democratic primary for Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District, Tarryl Clark earned nearly 70% of the votes, defeating Maureen Reed. Clark will face republican Michele Bachmann in what will be one of the most costly House races in the nation.
