Archived: Princeton Man Arrested For Domestic Assault and Criminal Sexual Conduct
A text message from the victim of a sexual assault to a friend resulted in the arrest of 51-year-old Randolph Johnson of Princeton on charges of 5th degree domestic assault and 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct.
According to Sheriff Joel Brott, the Sherburne County Sheriff’s office received a call from an individual stating they received a text message from a friend that her boyfriend was sexually assaulting her, and asking her to call 911. Deputies responded to an address in the 13000 block of 314th Avenue in Baldwin Township, where the victim stated that she had been assaulted in the bedroom. The victim also stated that the suspect was in a back bedroom and that there were firearms in the residence.
Deputies removed the victim from the residence and set up a perimeter around the home, and initial attempts to make contact with the suspect were unsuccessful. The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Unit was called to the scene, and a search warrant was issued. At that point Johnson was taken into custody without further incident.
