MAYWOOD TWP., Minn. — A 19-year-old woman of St. Cloud was arrested after burglarizing an abandoned property in Maywood Township.

Around 12:10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting a possible burglary at an abandoned property in the 16000 block of Ironwood Road NE, near the Oak Park Creamery.

The caller reported seeing a vehicle parked near the abandoned buildings and three individuals walking from the property back to the vehicle.

Deputies began a search of the area for the vehicle. Once they located it, they stopped the vehicle on Hwy 23.

According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle was being driven by Allison Theisen. Also in the vehicle was 18-year-old Darvell White of St. Cloud, a 17-year-old male, a 17-year-old female, and a 16-year-old female.

An investigation revealed that Theisen drove to the abandoned property with her passengers, intending to explore the buildings after hearing about the previous burglary, which had occurred on December 21.

Theisen, White, and the 17-year-old male exited the vehicle upon arriving on the property. The 17-year-old stayed outside while Theisen and White entered a building on the property.

While inside the building, Theisen gathered several items and took them. When deputies later searched the vehicle, they found the stolen items.

Theisen was placed under arrest for burglary and transported to the Benton County Jail, where she remains in custody awaiting her initial court appearance.

The case remains under investigation.
