Close to 300 junior high and high school students will arrive at Saint Cloud State to present their exhibits, documentaries and performances at this year’s Regional History Day. This event will take place in the Atwood Memorial Center Saturday from 9 am. to noon. An award ceremony will follow at 2 pm. in the Ritchie Auditorium in Stewart Hall. Over the past 20 Years, the History Day program in Minnesota has grown from 125 to more than 30,000 participants in grades six through 12. The winners of the regional events will advance to the State History day on May 1st at the University of Minnesota. The Sate winners are then eligible to go on to the National History Day competition in Washington DC in June.
