Archived: Repeat Alcohol Offender Arrested Again

A repeat offender is in the Stearns County Jail and is facing new felony driving under the influence charges. The arrest of 25 year old Jami Tjernagel stems from a stop by a Stearns County sheriff’s deputy Saturday afternoon.

His car was pulled over on McKinley Place South after the deputy noticed his vehicle registration had expired.  Sheriff John Sanner says the deputy also recognized Tjernagel and knew he had an invalid license.

The deputy noticed signs intoxication and arrested him. Tjernagel has four previous alcohol related driving offenses on his record. He’s facing first-degree felony D-W-I charges.
