In response to a reported phone scam Monday night, the St. Cloud Police Department is reminding the community not to provide personal information or money to unknown people over the phone. Police say an elderly St. Cloud woman received several phone calls and letters in the mail stating she had won large amounts of money. On Monday night, when the woman told the caller she was going to call the police, the man on the other end allegedly got angry and asked why she had to do that. The caller was unable or unwilling to provide further company information.
