The St. Cloud River Bats will start their season off with a bang. The home opener will start at 7:05 pm Saturday and will end with what the River Bats are calling their “largest fireworks extravaganza of all time.” The River Bats will also welcome special opening day guest Joe Brinkman, a Holdingford native and former Major League umpire with 34 years of experience in baseball. Brinkman will be the keynote speaker at the River Bats Welcome Home Luncheon held at 11:30 Saturday at the Holiday Inn. Tickets are $15 and also include a catered meal from the Holiday Inn.
