Archived: Roscoe Man Arrested After Fleeing Peace Officer

A Roscoe man was arrested early Thursday morning after a traffic stop for an equipment violation and expired registration led to a high speed pursuit in Stearns County. Adam Mackedanz refused to pull over for Sherriff’s deputies and instead led officers on a chase at speeds of up to 110 m.p.h. on County Road 9, south of Avon. Mackedanz then attempted to turn his car West onto County Road 42 near Richmond, where he left the roadway.

When the vehicle made it back onto the road, a Stearns County Deputy performed a Pursuit Intervention Technique, which caused Mackedanz’s Pontiac Grand Prix to spin and ultimately roll over.  Mackedanz refused medical attention, and was transported to the Stearns County Jail pending charges of fleeing a peace officer and driving after revocation.
