Due to the above average snowfall and precipitation this year Sherburne County has started to prepare for possible spring flooding. Sandbags are available for residents to purchase at 29 cents per bag. The sandbags will be available to be picked at both Sherburne County Public Works Buildings on Jackson Street, in Elk River and on 125th AVE, in Becker. They can be picked up Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Anyone in need of sandbags after hours should contact the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office.
