A Sauk Rapids man was arrested after being injured in a fight around 11 a.m. Monday morning. 27-year-old Lorne Adrian Brewer was arrested after showing up at his ex-girlfriend’s apartment to confront her new boyfriend.

According to police report Brewer and the new boyfriend began to argue, and a fight broke out after Brewer pulled out a revolver style handgun. The other man was able to wrestle the gun away from him. Brewer was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for his non-life threatening injuries. No shots were fired in the incident. 

Officers later found that the revolver was a reported stolen handgun from an unrelated burglary in Sherburne County. Brewer was arrested for 2nd degree assault, possession of stolen property and being a felon in possession of a handgun.
