Archived: SCSU Honored For Community Service
St. Cloud State is one of 642 leading U.S. colleges and universities, students, faculty and staff to receive a Presidential Honor for its commitment to bettering its communities through community service and service learning.
For the second year in a row, the Corporation for National and Community Service and the U.S. Department of Education has honored SCSU with the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
The Honor Roll recognizes higher education institutions that reflect the values of outstanding community service and achieve meaningful outcomes in their communities.
SCSU students participate in an estimated 1 million hours of campus and community volunteer service annually. Some of the outstanding projects during this past year for which SCSU was honored include its Community Garden, Farmer’s Market and Science Express.
