Archived: SCSU Selected for Women’s MVP Program
More than 100 universities were considered, and St. Cloud State was one of only a select few to receive a grant to add the Mentors in Violence Prevention, or MVP program. As announced by the St. Cloud State Women’s Center, SCSU is one of only eight schools in the country in this program that strives to provide help solve and prevent issues like rape, battering and sexual harassment while providing leadership and empowerment for women. The MVP program is made up of former professional and college athletes and has the goal of preventing violence against women. Additionally, over the next several days, 25 St. Cloud students and staff will be trained to help conduct the program.
