Associate Director of Admissions from SCSU, Adrece Thighman-Nabe has been appointed to the Council on Black Minnesotans by Governor Mark Dayton.   She is one of 13 members of the council.

Since 1980 the Council on Black Minnesotans advises the Governor on issues confronting the state’s black population and is described as a policy-oriented agency that uses a community involvement model.

Thighman-Nabe’s appointment will run through January of 2015.
