Six administrative positions at St. Cloud State are being cut in order to save the university more than $255,000 a year. This, according to SCSU Provost and Vice President Devinder Malhotra. The six cut positions include: associate vice president, assistant vice president of faculty relations, dean of graduate studies, dean of undergraduate studies, associate dean of undergraduate studies, and assistant vice president for research and sponsored programs. The six positions are being consolidated into four interim positions.

In an email to campus faculty and staff, Provost Malhotra said he’s confident the four new positions will help accomplish institutional goals. He also said the incumbents in the six cut positions have performed in an exemplary manner.
