The Muslim Student Association at SCSU is hosting an event to discuss plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero in New York City. “Mosque Madness: What’s going on near Ground Zero?” will be held Wednesday at 4:15 at the Atwood Little Theater. The guest speaker is Todd Green, a professor of religious history at Luther College in Iowa. His research interest includes church-state relations and religious liberty. Organizers say the goal of this event is to bring discussion about the Islamic Cultural Center near Ground Zero to the forefront of the St. Cloud community and help clear up misinformation about mosques and Muslims.
