As spring break is quickly approaching the St. Cloud State Women’s Center wants to remind you to stay safe over break.

The SCSU Gender Violence Prevention Program provides one-to-one support and advocacy services to victims of sexual violence, dating and domestic violence, harassment and stalking. They also have a support group for sexual assault survivors and can help students obtain safe housing and restraining orders.

Nineteen sexual assaults were reported to the Women’s center between July 1st and December 31st 2011. This compares to nine reports during the same time period in 2010 and sixteen reports in 2009.

There is a community sexual assault crisis-line students can access anytime by calling 251-4357(HELP).
