Archived: SCSU’s Weisman Predicts “Plowable Snowfall” Monday into Tuesday

SCSU Meteorology professor Bob Weisman is expecting a small, shovel-able snowfall from late tonight through midday tomorrow in the St. Cloud area. Weisman projects 1-3 inches of snow tonight and another dusting of an inch tomorrow. Driving will be a problem tonight on untreated roads, and wet surfaces will freeze under today’s snow as temperatures drop, according to Weisman.

The Twin Cities are expected to receive less snow, but have the same problems tomorrow morning with icy and snowy roads. Weisman contends that recent forecasts of 6-10 inches of snow are “overdone.”
