It started 21 years ago as a weekly informal brown bag lunch and has evolved into a well-known lecture series on the campus of St. Cloud State. The opening session of Women on Wednesday starts up again this week. This semester, the series welcomes a number of speakers on topics ranging from domestic violence to workplace issues for immigrant women. This week’s event will focus on the gender pay gap, featuring Debra Fitzpatrick, Director of the Center on Women at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute.

The weekly event is held each Wednesday from noon until one in the Atwood Theater. Organized by the SCSU Women’s Center, Women on Wednesday is free and open to the public.
