The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office responded to County Road two yesterday in Luxemborg Township for a crash involving a semi-truck. Watkins Fire Department, Watkins Ambulance and Gold Cross Ambulance also responded to the crash.

Officers learned that 30-year-old Mike Allen Litzau was traveling south on County Road 2 while driving the semi-truck. His trailer was struck from behind by another vehicle driven by 34-year-old Daniel Harold Hokanson.

Hokanson needed to be extricated from his vehicle by the Watkins Fire Department and was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was also assisted by a Minnesota State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Inspector.

The accident remains under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
