Senator Tina Smith to Meet with Area Farmers in Foley on Saturday

Minnesota Senator Tina Smith will be in the Foley area this weekend to discuss the benefits of the new trade agreement between the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Senator Smith announced that she will be at the Carol and Steve Anderson farm near Foley on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. where she will sit down with area farmers and farm leaders and discuss possible impacts of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

The Senate is expected to vote on the bipartisan USMCA trade agreement in the coming days, and Senator Smith announced her support for the agreement citing that it would secure key provisions to open new markets form farm exports and end unfair Canadian milk pricing rules that hurt U.S. producers.
