The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office is thanking its 135 volunteers for their service. The Sheriff’s Office’s volunteers provide an invaluable service in a number of areas. These include Courtroom bailiffs, reserves deputies, and the Mounted Patrol. All of these volunteers provide a great service to the Sheriff’s Office as a whole.
In 2010 almost 13,000 hours were donated to the citizens of Sherburne County by these volunteers. It is estimated that nearly $275,000 dollars in taxpayer money was saved in 2010 by the use of volunteers in Sherburne County.
