The SCSU soccer team bounced back from a close loss last weekend at home to Minnesota State Mankato with a win and a tie over the weekend on the road. The Huskies took down the Dragons of Minnesota State-Moorhead 2-0 Saturday and tied Northern State 1-1 Sunday. 

Becca Hodus got the Huskies on the board on Saturday at the 8:27 mark of the first half, with the assist given to Gabby Fleck. Jess Rohana tallied SCSU’s second goal late in the first half.

Kenzlie Hanzlik recorded the shutout in net for the Huskies.

On Saturday the Huskies trailed 1-0 at the half but got a late second half goal from Gabby Fleck to tie the game. Fleck’s goal was assisted by Mary Morhardt.

With the split SCSU is now 8-6-2 overall and 7-5-1 in NSIC play. The Huskies are at Bemidji on Friday afternoon before concluding the regular season at Husky Stadium October 28th against Crookston.
