Two student groups on the campus of St. Cloud State are organizing an event with a focus on higher education and student debt. Students from the groups Students Organized for Change and the Social Responsibility Student Organization are announcing an open mic event titled “Speak Out! for Education”.

The event will take place Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Atwood Mall. The event is open to all students, faculty and staff that would like to share their opinions about higher education and MnSCU budget decisions. The event is co-sponsored by Occupy St. Cloud.
