St. Cloud City Council Agenda: New Unmarked Squad Cars to Southside Redevelopment

The St. Cloud City Council has a mix of items on their agenda for tonight’s meeting. 

On their consent agenda a couple items are of interest including a resolution to authorize the mayor and the city clerk to purchase three Ford Interceptor squad cars for more than $131,000. They will be unmarked vehicles and they plan to buy them from Tenvoorde Ford and have RWB Lighting in Foreston install equipment.

The council will also be asked to support a special intoxicating liquor license for the Weinachtsmarkt, or Winter Market. It’s a holiday event that is taking place on Saturday, December 14th in on 6th Avenue South in downtown St. Cloud as part of the city’s winter fun activities.

There are also agenda items looking at improving the trail from 33rd Street South from County Road 74 to County Road 136. This is the area heading west from the Skatin’ Place towards the new Tech High School. Klein Nursery in this same area may be re-developed. There’s a resolution on the agenda to set a hearing for a planned unit development preliminary plan.
