A St. Cloud driver who fell asleep while driving and injured another man has been arrested. St. Cloud Police were called on Sunday night around 5:00 to a two vehicle accident on the Granite City Crossing Bridge on Highway 23.

Police say 19-year-old Eugene Treptau fell asleep behind the wheel while heading east. He then rear-ended the vehicle in front of him which was driven by 39-year-old Becker resident Stefan Schaub. Schaub was sent to the St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threatening injuries while Treptau was cited for inattentive driving and arrested on an outstanding warrant.
