St. Cloud’s Hollywood Video is not one of 14 stores in Minnesota that parent company Movie Gallery says it will close after filing for bankruptcy protection.
Movie Gallery’s Web site lists 27 stores in Minnesota and indicates at least 14, mainly in the Twin Cities area, will close. The Movie Gallery is Sauk Rapids is listed on the company’s website as one of the stores going out of business.
The company owns the Hollywood Video movie rental chain and plans to close 805 stores, or about a third of its locations, however at least at this time, the St. Cloud store will remain open.
