Late Monday night, St. Cloud police officers were called to the 3400 block of 14th Street North for a domestic assault in progress.

According to the report, police found a 28-year-old St. Cloud woman who was involved in a domestic assault with her children’s father. Through investigation, officers found there was probable cause to arrest 29-year-old Daniel Kurt Vernier of St. Cloud.

Officers found Vernier two hours later outside the home. He was taken to the Stearns County Jail and is being held for court for felony domestic assault.
