St. Cloud police officers arrested a man over the weekend for allegedly assaulting and strangling a woman.

St. Cloud Police responded to a domestic assault call in the 300 block of 37th Avenue North at 9 p.m. Friday.

According to the report, 53-year-old Harold Tyrone Williams of St. Cloud had assaulted and strangled a 45-year-old woman and fled the scene prior to their arrival.

Officers later located Williams and arrested him for felony domestic assault and felony domestic strangulation. The victim was treated and released from the St. Cloud Hospital for minor injuries.
