St. Cloud Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of 16th Street Southeast late Saturday night in response to an assault call.
 

According to the police report, two roommates got in an argument and one punched the other in the face. Officers talked to 19-year-old Kyle Mathew Welle and 19-year-old Travis Aloys Sand and determined that an argument started after Welle became intoxicated. Sand allegedly punched Welle in the face and caused substantial damage.
 

Welle was cited for disorderly conduct and underage consumption and was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of injuries. Sand was arrested and transported to the Sherburne County Jail where he is being held for court on one count of 3rd degree assault.
