A St. Cloud man is in jail after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Wednesday night. St. Cloud Police were called to the 2700 block of 16th Street South just after 8 p.m. for a report of a domestic assault.

Police say a 21-year-old St. Cloud woman was assaulted by her boyfriend, identified as 21-year-old Cortez Devon Stanley of St. Cloud. The victim received minor injuries but refused medical treatment. Police found Stanley in the downtown St. Cloud area and arrested him. Stanley is being held in the Stearns County Jail on charges of domestic assault by strangulation.
