St. Cloud Police went to a home in the 800 block of 4th Street South for a burglary in progress Monday around 8 p.m. A police investigation found that 22-year-old William Brim of St. Cloud had entered the home through an unlocked door and demanded money from the homeowners.

Brim, who was unknown to the residents, allegedly assaulted two residents, stole cash and then ran from the scene. He then returned to the home, chased one victim with a multi-tool before entering the home and destroyed items in the living room.

Brim was arrested at the scene and is currently being held on one count of alleged felony 1st degree burglary, seven counts of felony 2nd degree assault with a weapon, two counts of misdemeanor 5th degree assault and one count of misdemeanor theft and property damage.
