A St. Cloud man was arrested after he allegedly hit another man on the head with a blunt object. Just after 7:30 p.m., Friday, officers of the St. Cloud Police Department went to the 100 block of 34th Ave. North in reference to an assault. When they arrived they found a 43-year-old man who had apparent blunt trauma injuries on his head.

 Police arrested 43-year-old Brian Edward Triepke of St. Cloud for second degree assault. Triepke was taken to the Stearns County Jail where he is awaiting trial. The victim was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital Emergency Room and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
