A St. Cloud man was sentenced to over 22 years in prison on Friday. A Stearns county jury previously found 28-year-old Frank James Bammert guilty of two counts of assault in the first degree, two accounts of assault in the second degree and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The convictions source from August 14 of 2010 when Bammert fired numerous rounds from a handgun out his apartment window in the direction of police officers. The court sentenced Bammert to 266 months in prison and denied his request for probation or less prison time.
