Archived: St. Cloud Police Seek Suspects in 3 Weekend Robberies

St. Cloud police are investigating three burglaries they say happened between 5:00 Friday night and 5:00 Saturday morning. Two of the burglaries happened near St. Cloud State University. The other incident happened about two miles northwest of campus near the St. Cloud Hospital.

The first burglary happened at around 5:00 Friday night at a home on the 300 block of 5th Avenue South. Police say the residents woke up to the burglary but the suspect got away.

The second burglary happened just before 3:00 am Saturday at a home on the 1300 block of 12th Avenue North. Police say the suspect or suspects entered through an unlocked back door and stole several electronics and a safe. No one was inside the home at the time of the incident.

The third and final burglary happened about two hours later at a home on the 600 block of 7th Avenue South. Police say when two of the residents were just getting home, they entered the home through the front door, and came face to face with a black man who was trying to steal their TV. Police say three other residents of the home were sleeping in their rooms at the time of the incident. The suspect got away and has not been located.
