Archived: St. Cloud Salvation Army Reaches Christmas Goal

The St. Cloud Salvation Army reached its Christmas campaign goal, thanks to some big help from anonymous donors. With Christmas just a week away, donations were down more than $7,000 compared to last year. But thanks to the help of five anonymous donors, the St. Cloud Salvation Army raised more than $173,000 in its Christmas campaign, well above its goal of $165,000.

The anonymous donors gave matching gifts totaling $13,000. Major Manuel Madrid of the St. Cloud Salvation Army says they were surprised when the checks came in the mail, and they couldn’t have come at a better time.
