Husky Productions, SCSU’s live broadcast of men’s hockey games has won the 2011 Broadcast Education Association Best of Festival King Foundation award. It is one of just 15 faculty and student works to receive the award. UTVS sports-themed show, Husky Magazine, won second place in the studio portion of the competition. The winners of the Best of Festival award were chosen from a pool of more than 900 entries and will be honored at the 9th annual BEA awards ceremony. The ceremony will be held in Las Vegas in April. During the ceremony, winners will be recognized with a screening of their winning project, film and video editing software, and one thousand dollars in cash.
