A woman was killed after being thrown from a vehicle in a crash Friday night. The accident happened just after 7p.m. on 9th Avenue North and Northway Drive.  28-year-old Kolleen Susan Kill of St. Cloud was ejected from the vehicle after the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a light pole.

The police report says 29-year-old Joshua Corey Laine of Sartell was driving when he crashed. Kill was pronounced dead at the St. Cloud Hospital a short time after the accident.  Another passenger in the vehicle, 30-year-old Jeremy Michael Schoonover was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Laine was also taken to the hospital.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.  Laine was taken from the hospital to the Stearns County Jail where he is facing felony charges for criminal vehicular homicide.
