It’s a monumental weekend for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in central Minnesota. St. Cloud is now the sixth Minnesota city to host an LGBT Pride Festival. The free outdoor festival, held at Lake George from Friday night until Saturday night, will commemorate and celebrate the LGBT heritage, challenge discrimination and inspire equality. Hosted by St. Cloud Pride, the festival will include musical entertainment, exhibitors, comedy acts, and vendors. Pridefest Organizer Heidi Aldes says they’re hoping 400-500 people will attend this weekend’s event.
