The St. Cloud Police Department reported to a scene where a man was stabbed by another man outside a residence in the 500 block of 4^th Avenue Northeast in St. Cloud, early Tuesday morning.

Officers found the 40-year-old man victim of St. Cloud with multiple knife related injuries and the suspect fled the scene by foot.

Officers also have determined that the victim had been working on a car outside the residence and had gotten into an argument with the suspect over past disputes.

Officers found the suspect hiding behind a business in the 500 Block of 4 ½ Street Northeast and the suspect surrendered without incident.  

The suspect has been identified as 44-year-old Chad Rowlett of St. Cloud.  Rowlett was taken to the Benton County Jail to be held on charges relating to aggravated assault with a weapon.  The victim was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital by Mayo Ambulance and is in stable condition with serious injuries.
