A member of the Stearns County Board of Commissioners has been appointed to a prestigious state board. This week, Governor Tim Pawlenty appointed Leigh Lenzmeier to the Public Employees Retirement Association Board of Trustees.The state board manages the fund that provides retirement, survivor and disability benefits for public employees of county and local government. Lenzmeir, a St. Cloud resident, has been a member of the Stearns County Board since 1990 and is also an SCSU alum. His appointment on the state retirement board expires in January of 2013.
