Stearns County is going high-tech with a new online interactive map. It allows visitors to see all kinds of information about different properties. That could include voting precinct, legislative district, and school district boundaries. Points of interest are marked as well, such as churches, police stations and schools.
Users are also be able to see who owns a piece of property, how much its worth and the taxes that are paid.  The map uses aerial photos of the entire county along with Google Street views. The county hopes to add more features in the future. One idea is to show all the parks in the county so people can pick out the best spots to fish, rock climb, picnic and do other outdoor activities.
