It’s no secret, city and county budgets are tightening up as local officials look for places to cut spending and protect jobs. The 2010 Stearns County budget is down 13% from last year, and residents wondering how their tax money will likely be spent can attend a “Truth in Taxation” hearing tonight. At the hearing, Stearns County staff will walk through next year’s budget and invite comments from the public.

The hearing will take place at 6:00 pm in the County Board Room of the Administration Center in downtown St. Cloud.
