Stearns County officials have identified the inmate from the Stearns County Jail who died early Friday. Sheriff John Sanner says 22-year-old Jerome Harrell of St. Cloud was pronounced dead at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Emergency responders were called to the Stearns County Jai for a medical emergency shortly after 8:30 a.m.  Harrell was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

He was being held on a Hennepin County arrest warrant. The incident is under investigation and no further information has been made available.
