Archived: Stearns County Seeking Input From Citizens
Stearns County wants input from its citizens. The Emergency Management Department is updating its Stearns County All-Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The plan identifies a community’s disaster vulnerabilities and then proposes ways to reduce or eliminate those threats. This process involves getting input across the county and using that feedback into an all-encompassing study of disaster prevention in Stearns County.
Emergency Management needs residents to take part in the discussion about hazards in their community, hazards that could potentially be a threat to their community or their entire community. Residents are encouraged to participate in one of five public meetings that will be held at the end of this month or to go online and complete a survey by March 1st.
