The Stearns County Sheriff Department is urging people to always use common sense when venturing out on the ice this winter, whether it’s ice fishing, skating, snowmobiling or something else. Sheriff John Sanner says “Although ice conditions can vary greatly, many factors would fall into the common sense category.” He also urges a visit to the Minnesota DNR website as an ice safety refresher before venturing out.
