Stockman, Gebhard hat tricks Help Crush Pulverize Willmar.

-The St. Cloud Crush girls traveled to Willmar and downed the Cardinals 5-1 in a Central Lakes Conference game. Crush forwards Sheridan Stockman and Ella Gebhard each finished with a hat trick in the win. Goaltender Jordan Bovy was solid in the net, facing 16 shots with 15 saves for the Crush, and Willmar’s Bryn Behr stopped 33 of her 38 shots faced. The Crush improved to 10-6-0 overall and 5-2-0 in the conference.
Reese Stevens scored the first goal of the night unassisted at 15:05 of period 1 to give the Crush a 1-0 lead in the game. The Cardinals scored first in the second period with a goal by Willmar’s top point scorer Lily Jorgenson with an assist from Gabrielle Revier. Jorgenson’s goal tied the game a 1 just 4:26 in to the second period. The Crush’s Reese Ruska would find the back of the net at the 11-minute mark with an assist by Sunny Oehrlein and the period would end 2-1, St. Cloud.
The 3rd period was all Crush with 3 goals scored. Reeghan Stevens scored 52 seconds into the period off an assist from Reese Ruska. Sheridan Stockman scored at 4:48 with an assist from Ella Gebhard and finished with a hat trick. Reeghan Stevens then netted her 3rd goal at 14:12 with Reece Ruska earning an assist again.
Up next, the Crush go on the road to Moorhead on January 10.
