Archived: Summer Weather Brings in Road Work

Motorists will encounter county road closures and intermittent lane closures on Highway 25 east of Monticello for construction. The project includes widening intersections, installing dual left turn lanes at the Sherburne County Road 11 and 14 intersection and installing a single left turn lane at Sherburne County 17th and 200th Street.

Sherburne County Road 17 is closed to through traffic during the first stage of the project and traffic will be detoured via Highway 10 and Sherburne County Road 11. Sherburne County Road 11 and 14 will be closed to through traffic during the second stage of the project and traffic will be detoured via Highway 25, County Road 17 and 196th Street.

Additional construction begins Tuesday, June 7 on Highway 169 southbound and Elk River Bridge for paving and railing upgrades. Highway 169 Southbound Bridge to Highway 10 will close. Click here for a map of the detour.

  • Stay alert & expect the unexpected
  • Never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones
  • Plan ahead and expect delays, especially during peak travel times
