A tradition dating back 22 years to recognize and support victims of sexual and domestic violence returns to St. Cloud. Take Back the Night is holding their national event on Thursday, September 29 at Barden Park.

A social hour will be from 6 to 7 p.m. where guests can experience children’s activities, check out the Clothesline Project and listen to live music. Starting at 7 p.m. there will be guest speakers from the Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center, local law enforcement, and Anna Marie’s Shelter to speak about violence in the community. Guests will also get to listen to survivor’s stories.

The march to raise awareness of violence will continue to downtown St. Cloud from 8 to 9 p.m. followed up by the closing ceremonies. Barden Park is located adjacent to St. Cloud State University, near the Miller Center.
