With classes starting at the new Tech High School this week, the St. Cloud Area School District 742 will be hosting a grand opening event for the new facility.

On Monday, September 16^th, a Tech Trek will commence at the former Tech High School, and conclude at the new school. Tech boys and girls cross-country runners will run the roughly four and a half miles with a ceremonious torch and flag beginning at 4:15.

Grand Opening events will include several speeches being given Mary Cathryn Ricker, the Minnesota Commissioner of Education, as well as St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis and several others who were influential in the construction process.

The event will begin at 6 pm at Tiger Stadium and the event is open to the public with a tour of the school taking place afterward. If you are unable to attend the tour yourself, check out some of these photos from a tour we took last week.
